We are a community based and run non-governmental organisation which has been supporting craft producers in the Kalahari since the 1980s. Learn more about us here.

We have recently completed our new Strategic Plan (2020 - 2025). This strategy was the result of a lengthy review process with community based producers, board members, government departments, NGOs, customers and other key stakeholders.

The strategy recognises the importance of fostering economic, social and health empowerment of the San people through capacity building and partnerships with rural communities, non-government organisations and international agencies promoting san culture and identity in a positive manner.

We thank all our partners and stakeholders for their important contributions during the review process and we look forward to your support in the future. Find out how you too can get involved in our projects and organisation here.

Implementation this year has been a challenge due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Our main priority is the safety and health of our employees and our producers and wider community members. In Botswana public gatherings are still restricted and therefore, many of our field activities are still on hold and we have closed our offices temporarily.

We are maintaining strict social distancing and thorough hygiene protocols in all the work that we do. We are liaising with local government officials to obtain guidance on how we can continue to support our target communities during the pandemic.
